Our story

The structure was called “Trattoria al Sole” where the men of the German command were billeted during the war. The site subsequently became the residence of the Mannino family from Palermo with the aim of hiding their children in order to avoid military conscription which was mandatory at the time.

The hotel takes its name Genzianella from the imagination of the “Chiesa management” originating from Abbiategrasso, the Milan locality from which the greatest flows of tourists came at the time to Roncone.

After the Chiesa management it was rented to Armani Fedele from Agrone who continued with the hotel business until 1961. At the time it had a kitchen and a few rooms.

The hotel was leased by Fiorenzo Pizzini who, the year after, acquired half of the property of the Renghe family. In 1970, after many sacrifices, Franca Vettori, Fiorenzo Pizzini’s wife, completed the acquisition of the remaining half.

The hotel needed extensive renovation and was fitted with central heating and bathrooms. In 1984, it was time for a new significant intervention: the hotel was extended proportionately on its various floors for a total of 6 new rooms in the north and the renovation was completed with the extension of the kitchen.

The roof was redone so as to obtain cozy suites in the attic; the lift was installed and the stairwell was rebuilt; the rooms acquire a new feel thanks to refined new installations. The tavern is created in the basement and all the environments are modernised. In 2004, the rooms on the 1st and 2nd floor are completely renovated, as well as the bar and restaurant room: everything is strictly in worked solid wood with a style that fits perfectly with the village and the surroundings. 3-stars classification is obtained.

The Pizzini family continued the story of successes with a passion for hospitality until 2022 when the time came to give a new and fresh image to Genzianella. Ownership of the property was transferred the company Innova S.r.l. di Oreste Bottaro. Significant improvement and structural modernisation work was carried out on the building which took the name of Green Hotel Genzianella; a new distinctive and representative brand is acquired. The number of 29 existing rooms was reduced to 26, creating larger and more airy environments with Junior Suites and Mini Suites; the furnishings and bathrooms were completely renovated. Wood is predominant, the natural element to warm up the atmosphere and which represents true Trentino excellence. The Wellness Oasis SPA is born.

Proud to reopen to guests, offering a breath of fresh air, making the structure even more welcoming and comfortable. We have worked really hard to create an authentic environment which is characteristic of the local area.
